《失乐园》（Paradise Lost）是17世纪英国诗人约翰·弥尔顿（John Milton）以《旧约圣经·创世纪》为基础创作的史诗，出版于1667年。此书内容主要是描述堕落天使路西法（撒旦）从对神的反叛失败后再重新振作，他对人间的嫉妒，以及他运用他的谋略化身为蛇，引诱亚当和夏娃违反神的禁令偷尝智慧树（分别善恶树）的果实，导致人类被逐出伊甸园的故事。
现网络上的译本同大多数西方史诗译本一样，采用新诗的方式，长短句式，且不用或极少用韵，这样读起来少了一种“诗”的韵味，反而类似于散文。弥尔顿文辞之优美，本想做一篇精雕细琢的组诗，但是奈何译者水平有限，只好用通俗写法，类似于打油诗的标准，抛砖引玉了。
